After accessing other reviews, it’s clear that Burton special edition is technically identical to the less expensive Leica Sofort 2 – on which I’m almost ‘hooked’ – and suits many events participants’ needs and requirements – e.g., instant photo documentation of family gatherings / reunions / weddings /workplace functions etc., etc.

The Burton variant’s ‘plus’ factor is the dedicated bag and Burton logo but for UK use they’re irrelevant.

In short, I cannot see the point of the Sofort Burton for my potential UK use. After consulting other reviews I am considering the regular and less expensive Leica Sofort 2. I’m particularly interested in investigating the camera’s 10cm macro / close-up photography capabilities – for local nature reserves’ “open days” and potential production of souvenir photos for visitors.
